Do you find yourself getting unwanted spam emails in your Thunderbird mail client? Luckily, there’s a way to create a rule to block these pesky emails.
To start, double-click on the email you want to block and open it in a different tab. Then, right-click on the front email address and click on “Create Filter From.” Leave the manual rod checked and getting new mail before John classification checked. In the “Rule” section, select “front” and then “contains.” This means that anything in the front section that contains what you select will have an action applied to it.
Next, remove anything that precedes the domain name. This is important because many companies have a domain name and create multiple emails from that domain name. Instead of creating a specific rule for every email, you can create one rule that targets all emails.
Now it’s time to select an action for the rule. Click on the drop-down menu and choose an action such as deleting the message or moving it to a specific folder. Select the folder you want to move the message to and click OK.
After creating the rule, notice how the unwanted email disappears from the background. If you go back into your email list, it will no longer be there. Instead, it will be in the folder you selected. Keep in mind that you can select “delete” instead of moving it to a folder, but once you empty the trash folder, the message is completely gone.
By following these steps, you’ll be able to block unwanted or spam email in Thunderbird mail client. Hopefully, this tutorial was helpful and improved your email experience.
