How to Use Color Widgets in iOS 16

If you’re looking to add a splash of color to your iOS 16 home screen or lock screen, the Color Widgets app is just what you need. Here’s how to use it.

First, open the Color Widgets app and tap on “Continue.” You will be prompted to select your first widget, but you can tap on “Skip” to start from scratch. The app allows you to create both home screen widgets and lock screen widgets.

To create a new widget, slide the default widget to the left and tap on the plus sign. Here, you can customize your widget’s background, theme, font, border color, and battery display. You can even add a photo album to your widget.

Once you are happy with your widget, tap on “Set to Widget” and select where you want to place it.

For the lock screen, tap on the plus sign to create a new widget. While there isn’t as much customization available, you can still choose from different styles, fonts, and symbols. Once you’ve made your changes, tap on “Set Widget” and select where to place it.

To add widgets to your home screen, long press on an empty space, tap on the plus sign, and search for “Color Widgets.” Select the size you want, and if you’ve created multiple widgets, you can switch between them by long pressing and selecting “Edit Widget.”

To add widgets to your lock screen, long press on an empty space, tap on “Customize,” and scroll down until you see “Color Widgets.” Select the style you want, and if you’ve created multiple widgets, you can switch between them by tapping once and then again to select.

Avoid clicking on the icon packs as they will open Safari and multitasking.

With the Color Widgets app, you can add some personality to your iOS 16 device. Have fun customizing your widgets!
