Have you ever sent a message or photo on Snapchat and immediately regretted it? Or maybe you accidentally sent it to the wrong person. Whatever the case may be, the good news is that you can unsend a Snapchat message or photo. Here’s how.
First, go to the chat where you sent the message or photo. Hold down the chat and a panel will appear. Look for the “delete” option and click it. A pin will pop up, and you can either click “learn more” or “delete.” The message or photo will be deleted on both sides.
Note that this only works if the recipient has not yet seen it. If they have already seen it, there’s nothing you can do to unsend it.
If you accidentally send a photo or video and want to stop it from sending, quickly exit the app before it finishes sending. If you’re fast enough, Snapchat will show a “fail to send” message. As long as you don’t view the message or photo, you can still delete it by following the steps mentioned above.
