If you’re an avid Instagram user, you’re probably already familiar with Instagram Stories. But have you tried using the “Create Mode” feature? In case you haven’t, it’s a template using presets designed to make your Instagram Stories more creative and eye-catching.
Now, with the latest update of Instagram, they have added a new option for Instagram Stories – shoutouts! It’s a great way to give a little love to other Instagram users without having to repost their content.
Here’s how to do it:
First, go to Create Mode, press the dice on the top right-hand corner, and choose the option that has nothing on it. You can put your own text on it, tag another user, and put both of your profile icons on it. Then, you can change the colors and move the items around to your liking.
This is a great way to do shoutouts inside of Instagram if they’re not about birthdays, anniversaries, or personal things. If you want to do shoutouts with the purpose of helping another page grow, this is how you would create a post like that.
When you’re ready, you can go ahead and share it to your story. When someone sees that, they can go ahead and click that profile icon or the add mention sign and they can jump into that and follow that page or do whatever it is that your call to action says.
