If you’re a Fitbit Charge 4 user, you may encounter some issues with your device that can be resolved by restarting or rebooting it. In this post, we’ll guide you on how to restart your Fitbit Charge 4, with two different methods depending on whether your device’s display is responsive or not.
Restarting a responsive Fitbit Charge 4 is easy. First, swipe until you find the Settings app. Scroll down to “About” and swipe down again to “Reboot Device.” Tap on that, and a message will appear saying, “This will restart your device. No data will be lost.” Swipe up and tap the check mark to confirm. After several seconds, the device will restart, and the clock face will appear on the screen, indicating that the rebooting process is complete.
On the other hand, if your device’s display is unresponsive, you’ll need the charger with the grey base. Align the gold pins on the back of your Charge 4 with the gold pins on the charger, press the bottom of the base to allow the Charge 4 to set into the charger, and then wiggle until your Charge 4 is securely in the charger. Plug in the typical USB type-A port to a compatible power source.
Press and hold the button on the charger for roughly eight seconds, and you should feel a haptic vibration response. Release the button and check for a smiley face on the display, indicating that the device is rebooting.
If neither of these steps works for you, it’s best to contact Fitbit customer support for more specific troubleshooting steps. They can provide you with the necessary support to get your tracker fixed.
We hope that one of these two methods works for you. If it does, please let us know in the comment section below.
