If you’re planning to sell your iPhone, give it away as a gift, or trade it for a new model, it’s important to reset it to its factory settings. This will ensure that all of your personal data is wiped from the device and that it’s ready for its next owner.

Step 1: Back Up Your Phone
Before resetting your iPhone, it’s important to back up any important data that you want to keep. To do this, go to the Settings app on your iPhone and select iCloud. To remove the SIM card, you’ll need a SIM card removal tool, which typically comes in any iPhone box. Insert the tool into the SIM card slot on the side of your iPhone, remove the tray, and take out the SIM card. Once the SIM card is removed, you can replace the tray and the phone is ready to go.
