Are you having trouble opening an MTS video file? Whether it’s for work or personal use, converting to MP4 is a quick and easy solution. In this blog post, we’ll show you how to do just that without using any additional software.
First, open the Photos app on your Windows 10 computer. Click on “New Video” and select “New Video Project.” From there, select “Add” and then “From this PC.” Find your MTS file and select it. Drag the file to the storyboard and click “Finish.” From there, select your desired quality and click “Export.” Give the file a name and click “Export” again. Your MTS file is now an MP4!
If the first method doesn’t work for you, there’s a second option using a free software called Handbrake. Download and install the software and then launch it. Drag and drop your MTS file into Handbrake. Make sure the container is set to MP4 and check “Web Optimized.” Browse the location where you want to save the file, give it a name, and click “Start.” Your MTS file is now an MP4!
