If you’re creating a document in Microsoft Word and want to add some flair to your page numbers or borders, you may want to consider using accent colors. These colors are applied based on the theme you select, and can help your document stand out. But how do you add them?
Josiah Ray, creator and owner of Jay Ray Studios, has a simple tutorial to show you where the accent colors are located in Microsoft Word. First, you’ll need to open up a text color area to see the theme colors. Hover over one of the colors to see its corresponding accent number.
Next, head over to the Page Layout tab and click on Page Borders. Select a default box border and click on the color tab. You’ll see the same accent colors you saw before, on the right-hand side of the color palette. Click on a color to add an accent to your border.
Remember that the same dialog box used to create borders is also used to create other objects, such as squares and text blocks. With this tutorial, you’ll be able to add accent colors to any object you desire.
By following this tutorial, you’ll be able to add an accent bar 1 page number in Word, making your document look more polished and professional. Give it a try and see how it can enhance your next project.
