If you are not a fan of the Aero Snap feature in Windows 10, which automatically adjusts the size of your windows when you drag them to the sides of your screen, you can easily disable it. This feature has been around since Windows 7, but in Windows 10, there are a few new options to explore.
To enable or disable this feature, head over to the settings menu. Click on the Start menu and left-click on Settings. Then, click on System and select Multitasking. Underneath Snap, make sure the checkbox labeled “Arrange windows automatically by dragging them to the sides or corners of the screen” is checked. This will enable the Snap feature.
If you want to disable it, toggle the switch to the off position. Once it’s enabled, you will have a few additional options, such as the ability to automatically adjust the size of windows when you snap them, or to show suggestions for windows to snap next to the one you just snapped.
If you’re a fan of the Snap feature but want to disable Aero, you can easily do so by heading over to the Ease of Access settings. Click on Start and search for Ease of Access, then click on the “Ease of Access Center” option. From there, click on “Make the computer easier to see” and then select “Turn off all unnecessary animations (when possible).” This will disable all unnecessary animations, including Aero.
