iTunes has undergone a lot of changes since the last time any video tutorial was made on how to transfer music from iTunes to your device. In this updated 2017 version, we will show you how to transfer music from your desktop or PC into iTunes and then onto your iPhone, iPad or iPod.
The first step is to connect your device to your computer. In this tutorial, an iPhone is used. Once you have connected your device, you can see it on your screen. Click on the device icon located just to the right-hand side of music and you will be redirected to a page where you have a few options to choose from.
It is recommended that you uncheck the box that says “automatically sync when this iPhone is connected” located at the bottom of the page. This is because it could sync music, videos and even pictures to your phone every time it’s connected, which may cause storage issues. To avoid that, it is better to manually manage music and videos.
The next step is to get music from your desktop or PC into iTunes. Select the songs you want to transfer and drag and drop them into iTunes. In a few seconds, the songs will appear in your library.
To transfer the music onto your device, select the songs you want to transfer, hold down the left mouse button and drag the music over to your device. Once the files are copied, it will only take a few seconds, and the songs will appear on your device.
If you have accidentally transferred a song that you don’t want on your device, simply select the song, hold down the ctrl key and click delete from the library.
