If you’re using a Google Chromebook and need to use Microsoft Office apps, don’t worry, it’s possible! To start, go to the Play Store, which can be found either on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen or in the launcher menu on the left-hand side of the screen. Once you’ve found the Play Store, type “Microsoft” in the search bar and select the app you want to use, such as Word or PowerPoint. Click “Install” and wait for it to download.
Before you can use any of the Microsoft Office apps, you’ll need to have a Microsoft 365 account. You can search for Microsoft 365 on Google and click on the download option. From there, you can sign in if you’re already a customer, or select the option that’s applicable to you, such as home use, business use, enterprise, or education.
After you’ve installed the app(s) and have your Microsoft 365 account set up, open the app and log in using your account details. To access the drop-up menu, you can either use two fingers on the touchpad and bring them down, or click on the two little dots. From there, you can scroll down and see all of the available tools, such as “Insert” and “Draw.”
