If you’re looking to temporarily disable AVG antivirus free from performing real-time scans on your computer, then this tutorial will show you how to do it quickly and easily.
First, locate the AVG logo in the bottom right corner of your screen. If you don’t see the icon, click on the upward facing arrow and look for the AVG logo.
Next, right-click on the AVG icon and click on “Protection is on.” You’ll see an oval which you can toggle to the off position. Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive a pop-up warning message. Click “Yes” if you’re performing this action intentionally.
To re-enable protection later, you can either go back through the AVG icon or click on the “Fix Now” button. Your antivirus will turn back on automatically after your computer has restarted.
If you only want to turn off the antivirus for a few minutes, you can simply re-enable it by going back into the settings.
Overall, this is a pretty straightforward process. Hopefully, this tutorial has been helpful to you. As always, thank you for watching and we’ll catch you in the next tutorial. Goodbye!
