Are you tired of spending countless hours formatting your data in Excel? Luckily, there’s an amazing shortcut that can help you auto format your data in just a few clicks. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use the Auto format option in Excel.
First, let’s add the Auto format option to the Quick Access Toolbar for easy access. To do this, go to File, click on Options, and select Quick Access Toolbar. Under “Choose commands from” drop-down menu, select “Commands not in the ribbon”. Then, select the Auto format option and add it to the Quick Access Toolbar.
Once you have the Auto format option added, select any cell in your data table and click on the Auto format button in the Quick Access Toolbar. You’ll be presented with different data format options to select from. Choose the format that suits your needs and click OK. The Auto format option will instantly apply the chosen format to your data.
If you want to modify the format further, you can do so easily. For example, you can make the font bold and red by selecting the data and clicking on the Auto format button again. Choose any format in the window and select the green color. Then, click on the Options button at the bottom. From the options, you can untick the formatting you don’t want to apply. For example, if you don’t want the font to be reformatted, you can untick it and click OK.
If you want to remove the formatting completely, just select the data, click on the Auto format button, and select the option called “None”. Your table will be displayed as plain data.
