If you’re an avid Instagram user, you know the importance of staying up to date with the latest app features. In this tutorial, we’ll show you two different ways to ensure you have the latest version of the Instagram app installed on your iPhone.
To get started, simply open up the App Store on your iPhone. Select the search option at the bottom right and type in “Instagram.” If there is an update available for the Instagram app, it will show up with an “Update” option. Select “Update” to download and install the latest version of Instagram.
However, if you don’t see an update available for Instagram, but are still missing some of the new features, don’t worry. You can force Instagram to update by going into your iPhone’s settings.
Once in settings, scroll down and select “General,” then scroll down again and select “iPhone Storage.” Here, you’ll see all the different apps on your iPhone and how much storage they’re taking up. Find and select Instagram, then choose “Offload App.” This will delete the app but keep all your documents and log-in information.
Next, select “Reinstall App,” and the App Store will download the latest version of Instagram. Once it says “Offload App,” that means it’s been successfully reinstalled on your phone, and you can start using the latest version of Instagram.
