Are you tired of constantly being prompted to enter your password every time you want to download an app from the App Store? Fortunately, there’s a way to turn off this feature and skip the hassle of entering your password every time you want to install an app.
Firstly, open up your settings and scroll down until you see “Face ID and Passcode.” Enter in your iPhone’s password and toggle on the “iTunes and App Store” option. This will allow you to use your Face ID to install apps without having to type in your App Store password.
Next, tap on your name at the very top of the screen and then tap on “Media and Purchases” right under iCloud. This will give you a “Password Settings” option. Select “Require Password After 15 Minutes” and toggle off the “Require Password” option under “Free Downloads.” This will allow you to download any free apps without entering a password.
If the “Require Password” option is grayed out, it could be due to a screen time issue. To fix this, go back to the main settings page and tap on “Screen Time.” Then, tap on “Content & Privacy Restrictions” and select “iTunes & App Store Purchases.” If it is set to “Always Require,” change it to “Don’t Require.” This will enable you to turn off all password settings and avoid entering your password every time you want to install an app.
With these simple steps, you can now turn off the password feature for the App Store and enjoy hassle-free app downloading. If you have any questions, let us know in the comments below.
