Sending emails to multiple people is something that we all need to do at some point. Whether it’s for a work project or a family reunion, sending the same email to multiple people can be time-consuming. However, if you have an iPhone or iPad, there’s a way to make this process much more efficient. In this post, we’ll show you how to send group email on iPhone.
Creating an email group on iPhone or iPad is not something that Apple makes easy. However, with the Contacts app, it is possible. Here’s how you can create an email group on your iPhone or iPad:
Step 1: Open the Contacts app on your iPhone or iPad, and then tap the “+” icon to create a new contact. This will bring up the New Contact screen.
Step 2: Type a name for your email group in the Company field, and leave the First Name and Last Name fields blank.
Step 3: Scroll down to the Notes field, and then enter the email addresses you want to include in your iPhone or iPad email group distribution list. The email addresses should be separated by a comma.
Step 4: Hold your finger against any of the email addresses you just entered in the Notes field to open a menu, and then choose to copy all of those email addresses.
Step 5: Scroll back up the screen to the Email field, and then paste the email addresses you just copied into any of the email fields. Tap “Done” to save and create your new contact group.
Now that you have created your email group, you can use it to send emails. Whenever you want to send an email to your newly created email group on your iPhone or iPad, you just have to open the contacts app, tap the contact associated with your email group, and then tap “Mail” at the top of that group’s information screen. A new email message screen will be displayed, and the individual email addresses associated with your email distribution list will automatically be populated in the To field.
It’s important to note that while you can open a new email message, type the name of your email group contact in the To field, and select that group to populate its name in the To field, you’ll get an Invalid Address message when you try to send that message. You can still move forward with sending your email, and there’s a good chance it still gets to all of your intended recipients, but there is the risk that it doesn’t.
