Are you tired of the chat feature on your Windows 11 and would like to get rid of it permanently? If so, you’re in luck because we have a step-by-step guide on how to completely remove chat from your Windows 11.
Before we get started, let’s go over how to simply hide the chat feature. Launch settings and navigate to Personalization. Scroll down until you see Taskbar, and inside Taskbar, you’ll find Widgets, Chat, and Disabling Sliders for all of them. You can simply hide these features inside this menu.
However, this is not what we will be showing you in this tutorial. We will be showing you how to completely remove the chat feature. First, right-click on the Windows icon and select Windows Terminal and Administrator in parenthesis. Then, copy the code provided in the description and paste it into the terminal. Press enter, and you will see that the chat feature has been removed.
Next, copy the next passage and paste it into the terminal, and the shout icon and the disable or enable slider should now be completely gone. If you go to Settings and navigate to Personalization and the Taskbar, you’ll see that the chat feature is no longer available.
If you ever want to enable chat again, you’ll need to change the value of the first and second options to 1 and 2/3, respectively. But if you’d like to keep chat disabled, you’re all set.
