Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you wanted to remove a card from your Apple Wallet? Maybe you switched to a new bank and got a new debit card, or perhaps you want to use a different credit card. Whatever the reason may be, deleting a card is the best way to make sure you don’t put additional charges on that card using Apple Pay.
Here are the steps you need to follow to remove a credit or debit card from your Apple Wallet:
Step 1: Tap the “Wallet” app on your Apple device. The Wallet app launches, and a list of cards you have associated with Apple Pay appears at the top of the Wallet screen.
Step 2: Tap the card you want to remove from Apple Pay. The screen will adjust so that card is the only one displayed on the screen.
Step 3: Tap the “i” icon that appears in the lower right corner of the screen. The information screen associated with that specific card appears.
Step 4: Scroll down to the bottom of the information screen associated with that credit or debit card, and then tap the red “Remove Card” text. A warning will fly up from the bottom of the screen, notifying you that if you remove this card from your Apple Wallet, it will also remove all of your transaction history from this device.
Step 5: Tap the red “Remove” text directly beneath the warning. If the card you removed was your default card for Apple Pay, a dialog box will appear that will tell you that your default card for Apple Pay has been switched to another card you have set up.
That’s it! You’ve successfully removed a credit or debit card from your Apple Pay account through the Wallet app. You can always add a deleted card back to your Wallet app to use it with Apple Pay at any time.
No matter what your reason is for removing a card from your Apple Wallet, following these simple steps will help you to do it with ease.
