Printing images in Microsoft Word can be tricky, especially when you want them to fill out the entire page without any white space or borders. In this post, we’ll show you a simple and easy way to get your images to print to the edges of your page in Microsoft Word.
To start, you’ll need your image. You can use any image you want, but for this example, we’ll be using an image of a bank we found on Google. When filling out an 8.5 by 11 page in Microsoft Word, look for an image that would go in proportion with that size. Once you’ve found your image, right-click on it and copy it.
Next, open Microsoft Word and right-click where you want the image to go and select “paste.” You’ll notice that the image has a big white border around it because Microsoft Word has margins.
To remove the white borders, go to the bottom right-hand corner of your window and use the zoom bar to zoom all the way out. Then, right-click on the image and select “wrap text” and choose “in front of text.” This changes how the image moves or doesn’t move, allowing you to move your image by clicking, holding, and dragging it to the edge.
To resize your image, use the four edges of the image and never come to the middle of the image. This will make your image look distorted and out of shape. Once you’ve resized it, you may still see a little white space left, which means that the image is not exactly 8.5 inches in width. To get rid of this space, drag the little circle at the bottom right of the edge until it fills up the entire page.
Finally, to remove any remaining white space around the edges, click on the image again and use the two-edged arrow to click, drag, and hold until the pieces disappear. And that’s it! You now know how to print to the edges in Microsoft Word.
