If you have an iPhone 10 or newer, you can use live stickers on your device. Unfortunately, iPhone 8 and 8 Plus don’t support this feature. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to make a sticker from a photo on iOS 16.
Firstly, open the photos app and select the image you want to use. The only requirement for the image is to have a clear foreground and background. It does not have to be a picture of yourself, it can be an animal, object or anything else as long as it meets the requirement.
Next, long press on the foreground for about one second and then release. Once you see a white animation finish, you can copy the picture or share it to notes, messages or any other app. You can also save the image without a background on your phone.
If you have a live photo, you may encounter glitches when trying to make a sticker. Simply tap on the live icon and set it to off. Then, repeat the process and everything should work. You can re-enable the live photo feature anytime.
It’s worth noting that you can drag the sticker around, but you cannot drag and drop the image to another app. You have to long press, release and then share where you want.
And that’s it! Follow these simple steps to make a sticker from a photo on iOS 16.
