How to Get Your Google Nest Hub to Display All Your Photos

Do you have a Google Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max but are having trouble displaying all your photos on it? If so, this blog post is for you. In this post, we’ll show you how you can take full advantage of the photo frame feature on your Google Assistant display and get your photos from Google Photos to display on your device. We’ll also show you how you can use shared albums in Google Photos to share photos with multiple people.

First, you’ll want to make sure your photos are set up the way you want in Google Photos. You can add albums in Google Photos to display on your Google Assistant display, or you can select faces of people and pets you want to see. If you’re unfamiliar with Google Photos, we recommend checking out our “How to Use Google Photos in 2020” video.

Once your photos are set up, open the Google Home app and scroll to the Assistant display you want to display your photos on. Click on that device and then click “Edit photo frame.” On the screen that follows, select “Google Photos.” You can then select the albums in Google Photos that you want to display on your device. Google will give you a few default albums like “Recent highlights” and “Favorites.” To see the most recently updated albums, click the list icon and then select “Last updated.” If you want to see photos of specific people and pets, tap “Select family and friends” and then choose the faces you want to see.

If you’re gifting a Google Assistant display to someone and want to have all your family photos in a single album, you’ll need to create a shared album in Google Photos. To do this on desktop, click the “Create” button and select “Shared album.” Select the photos you want to add to the album, add a title, and click “Share.” Select the people you want to be able to contribute to the album and make sure “Collaborate” is turned on. On mobile, click “Albums,” then the plus icon and “New album.” Add the photos you want to include, give the album a title, and click “Share.” Select the people you want to add as collaborators and make sure “Collaborate” is selected.

Once you have your shared album set up in Google Photos, go back to the Google Home app, select the Assistant display you want to display photos on, and click “Edit photo frame.” Select “Google Photos” and then select the album you recently created in Google Photos. Your Google Assistant display will now start to display photos from that album.

That’s it! You should now be able to display all your photos on your Google Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max. No more frustration with missing photos.
