If you’re looking to turn off restricted mode on your iPhone, don’t worry, it’s a straightforward process. However, for you to do it, you need to be the original person who at least has the passcode. If you don’t have the passcode, there’s no other way to disable restricted mode besides possibly factory resetting your phone. Before you take that route, try this basic method.
First, open the settings application on your iPhone, then scroll down until you find the “Screen Time” option. Click on it to access the Screen Time panel. You will see the “Content and Privacy Restrictions” option, which you need to click. Once inside this panel, you will see a “Content and Restrictions” mode option. All you have to do is disable it using the enable-disable toggle at the top of the screen.
Once you disable it, you’ll be prompted to type in the passcode. This is the passcode you set up earlier. If you’re the parent, type in the passcode to disable the restriction. To enable the restriction, simply toggle it back on.
Keep in mind, this method only works if you know the passcode. If you don’t know the passcode, you’ll have to factory reset your phone, or log out of iCloud. To log out of iCloud, click on the iCloud account up there, then click on “Sign Out.” If you can’t sign out because of restrictions, you can disable Screen Time if you have the passcode.
That’s pretty much all there is to it. If you have any thoughts or questions, leave them in the comments section below.
