Welcome to the Samsung family, Quarantine Edition! Since we’re all stuck at home, why not explore some cool features of your Samsung smart fridge? In this blog post, we’ll show you how to download apps on your fridge, and some other cool tricks you might not have known about.
First things first, let’s talk about the app store. If you swipe up on your fridge, you’ll find Samsung’s own app store. This provides a list of apps that you can access right away. However, if you don’t use some of these apps, you can work around it by setting desktop shortcuts to any website. For example, if you don’t use Grubhub, you can create a shortcut to DoorDash and order food from there. You can also create shortcuts to any music app, such as Tidal or Pandora, if you don’t use the apps that come with the fridge.
If you’re a Galaxy user, you’ll be happy to know that your Samsung products talk to each other. You can mirror your phone screen to your fridge, and it works like a portable Bluetooth speaker. You can link up to your fridge through Bluetooth, and play music or take calls right from your phone, using the fridge as a speaker. It’s a great way to multitask while you’re in the kitchen.
But what if you want to use your fridge like a phone? Well, you can do that too! Just go to the settings on your fridge and hit up Smart View. Connect to your refrigerator, and you can use your phone as your fridge. You can swipe through apps, make calls, play games, and do anything else you would normally do on your phone. It’s a great way to keep your phone clean and safe while you’re cooking or cleaning in the kitchen.
While we didn’t go into a full review of the fridge’s basic functionality, we hope these tips and tricks were helpful to you. With a little bit of creativity, you can make your Samsung smart fridge even more useful and versatile than it already is.
