Adding subscribed calendars to your Google Calendar is a great way to keep track of shared events, whether it’s a school, work, or family calendar. However, there may come a time when you no longer need access to a particular subscribed calendar. In this case, it’s best to delete it to ensure that you only see relevant events in your Google Calendar.
If you’re using an Android, iPhone, or iPad device, the only way to delete a subscribed calendar is to unsubscribe from it on the Google Calendar website. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Step 1: Open a web browser and navigate to Calendar.Google.com. Sign in to your Google account to access your Google Calendar home screen.
Step 2: Go to the “Other Calendars” section and place your mouse over the subscribed calendar you want to delete. Click the ellipses that appear to the right of the calendar to show the menu.
Step 3: Click “Settings” in the menu. This will take you to the Calendar Settings screen.
Step 4: Scroll down the screen until you reach the “Remove Calendar” section. Click “Unsubscribe” to remove the calendar.
Step 5: A dialog box will appear asking if you’re sure you want to remove the calendar. Click “Remove Calendar” to confirm.
Once you’ve completed these steps, the subscribed calendar will be deleted from your Google Calendar, and all events related to it will be removed from your Android, iPhone, or iPad device.
It’s worth noting that this process only removes the subscribed calendar from your Google Calendar. If you want to delete an entire calendar, including all its events and reminders, you’ll need to go to your Google Calendar web page and click the trash can icon next to it.
