If you’re looking to keep your day-to-day events and meetings separate from your lucky times calendar, the easiest way to do that is to create a new calendar within your Google Calendar. This will allow you to import or enter incorrect dates without deleting any of your events in the normal calendar.
To get started, scroll down to “Other Calendars” and click the plus button to create a new calendar. Name it something like “Lucky Times New” and create the calendar. Remember, you only need to do this once, and you can import multiple .ics files each month into the same calendar.
Now, let’s import your Lucky Times .ics file into your Google Calendar. When you receive the email from the Lucky Times app, download the file to your preferred location. Open your Google Calendar and click the settings menu, then click “Settings.” In the left column, click “Import and Export.”
Select the .ics file you want to import from your computer and click “Add to Calendar.” You should see your new calendar, “Lucky Times New,” listed. Select it and click “Import.” If your import is successful, it should say “Imported a number out of all,” with the two numbers being the same.
Click “OK” and then the arrow to go back to your calendar. If your new calendar doesn’t show up, try unselecting it and then reselecting it. That’s it! You’ve successfully created a new calendar and imported your Lucky Times events.
