If you’re a music lover, you probably enjoy creating playlists for different moods and occasions. But what if you’re new to Amazon Music and don’t know how to create a playlist? Fear not, because it’s easy to do!
First, launch your Amazon Music app. You’ll find the blue icon on your home screen. Then, go to the “My Music” section and click on “Create New Playlist.” Give your new playlist a name – let’s say we’re creating a playlist for golden oldies – and hit “Save.”
Amazon might suggest some songs, but we’re going to search for the songs we want to add to our new playlist. Hit the back button and look for the “Find” button at the bottom of the phone to search for new songs. Tap the search bar and enter the name of your first song – let’s say “Earth Angel.” Add it to your playlist by tapping the three buttons to the right of the song and selecting “Add to Playlist.” Choose your newly created playlist.
Repeat this process for as many songs as you want to add to your playlist. For example, let’s add “16 Candles,” “Mr. Sandman,” “Rock Around the Clock,” and “Great Balls of Fire.” Once you’ve added your songs, you can rearrange their order by tapping the menu icon for the playlist and selecting “Edit.” Hold your finger to the far right of the track you want to move and drag it up or down until it’s in the desired position.
If you want to remove a song from your playlist, tap the “Edit” button for the playlist and hit “Edit” again. To remove a song from the playlist, hit the subtraction icon to the left of the album cover and accept the option to remove it.
You can also rename your playlist by tapping the “Edit” button again and selecting “Edit.” Tap into the name at the top and change it to whatever you like.
Once you’re happy with your playlist, you can listen to it in the order of the songs that you see on the screen by tapping the play button. Alternatively, you can hit the shuffle button to listen to your songs in a random order.
And there you have it – a step-by-step guide on how to create and edit a playlist on Amazon Music. Enjoy your music!
