If you’re a fan of Sonos and Amazon Alexa, you’ll be thrilled to know that you can connect the two together. With the Sonos app and the Amazon Alexa app downloaded, you can set up Sonos with Alexa in just a few simple steps.

First, click on the Amazon Alexa app on your device. From there, go to the home screen and click on the menu. Then, click on “Skills and Games” and search for “Sonos.” Once you’ve found it, enable the skill and sign in with your login information.

Next, allow Alexa to control your Sonos system. This gives Alexa permission to see what your Sonos is playing, change the playback or volume, change your Sonos rooms and groups, and play your Sonos and favorite playlists.

Once you’ve agreed to this, Amazon Alexa and Sonos will be successfully linked. To discover smart home devices, click on “Discover Devices” or say “Alexa, discover devices.” It may take a minute for the process to complete.

You can connect any of the Sonos devices to Amazon Alexa, including the Play:1, Play:3, Play:5, Playbar, Connect to Sonos Amp, and more. There are also two Sonos speakers that have Amazon Alexa built-in: the Sonos One and the Sonos Beam.

After successfully adding the Sonos device, you can tap and control to edit. With everything set up, you can now say “Alexa, play music” and enjoy your Sonos system with Alexa control.

While the process may seem complicated at first, connecting Sonos to Alexa is actually quite simple. With just a few clicks, you can enjoy the convenience of controlling your Sonos system with your voice.
