If you’ve recently changed your WiFi network, you’ll need to update your Google devices with the new network. In this guide, we’ll show you how to connect your Google Home, Google Mini, Google Nest Mini, Chromecast, or other Google devices to your new WiFi network.
First, open your Google Home app and select the device you want to connect to the new network. Tap the gear icon in the top right-hand corner, select WiFi, and then tap Forget This Network. Confirm that you want to forget the network, and then minimize the Google Home app.
Now, go to your settings and connect to your Google device again. Return to the Google Home app and select the device you want to connect. Follow the prompts to choose your home and connect to your new WiFi network.
Once your device is connected, you’ll be asked to confirm your address, device services, and WiFi network. If everything is correct, select Next and finish the setup process. Your device should now be connected to your new WiFi network.
It’s worth noting that all of your previous settings, such as voice recognition and Spotify, will remain intact. You don’t need to go through the setup process again unless you want to make any changes.
That’s it! With these simple steps, you can easily connect your Google devices to your new WiFi network. If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.
