If you’re reading this, chances are your parents have restricted your internet access by setting up parental locks on your router. But fear not, there’s a way to bypass them and gain internet access whenever you want. In this quick tutorial, we’ll show you how to do it.
Firstly, you need to ensure that you’re connected to the network that has a parental lock. Once you’ve connected, you’ll have limited connectivity because you’re blocked from the internet.
Next, go to the open network sharing center and click on “change adapter settings”. Select the network you want to change, and go to its properties. For example, if you’re using a wireless network named “Aces Opt Out”, go to its properties and then into the configure tab.
Once you’re in the configure tab, scroll down to the “Advanced” tab and click on “network address”. Tick the value box and enter some random numbers. It doesn’t matter what you put in there. Keep entering numbers until you hear a beep, then press “OK”.
You’ll be disconnected from the network, but that’s fine. All you need to do now is reconnect and you’ll have internet connectivity again. Test it out by opening a new window and visiting a website.
That’s all there is to it! Follow these steps and you’ll bypass your parental locks in no time. Remember, if you’re having trouble, just go back and make sure you followed each step carefully.
