Google Slides is a great tool for creating presentations. One of the features of Google Slides is the ability to add music to your presentation. In this post, we will show you how to add music to your slides using Google Slides and how to make that music play at a different spot in the music, so that when you go to a new slide, it doesn’t just start the music over.
To begin, you will need to create your slide presentation. Once you have your presentation ready, go to the first slide and choose “insert video.” Select a YouTube video that has the music you want for your presentation. Although we want sound, it doesn’t let us put sound in, so we’re going to put a video in. Make sure to click on “search” to find the video you want. Once you have selected the video, it will be added to the slide.
Next, select the video and go up to format options. Click on video playback and make sure to click on “auto-play when presenting.” Set the video to start on your first slide at 0. You can adjust the size and position of the video by choosing the top right-hand corner of each slide to place the video. Make the video as small as possible, so it doesn’t show on the slide.
Go to your second slide and insert the exact same song again. Once you have added the video, make it super small and place it in the top right-hand corner. This is so you always remember where you found it. Go back to video playback and choose auto-play again. However, since you’re on the second slide, you don’t want it to play at the same spot. Change the start time to 35 seconds.
When you go to present your slide, the song will load on its own. When you click the next slide, the music will start playing from a different spot. This will make each slide seem like it starts later in the song.
By following these simple steps, you can add music to your Google Slides presentation and make it more engaging for your audience.
