Yakuza Like a Dragon is the newest addition to the Yakuza series and it is definitely not what fans of the series were expecting. Unlike the previous games, Yakuza Like a Dragon has turned into a turn-based JRPG which made some fans unhappy. However, this change of genre does not mean that the game is not enjoyable.
The game is designed in a way that resembles Dragon Quest, which is a popular JRPG game. Even though the combat system is not the best and could be compared to other RPG games such as Shin Megami and Into the Breach, Yakuza Like a Dragon’s combat is still very entertaining and engaging. The game’s combat is carried by crazy animations and characters, which makes it all the more enjoyable.
One of the most interesting parts of the game is the enemies. The enemies are called “tsujiman” which is a twist on the word Pokémon. The game also has other interesting enemies such as “shrugler”, “druggler”, “thugler”, and “juggalo”. The variety of enemies is what makes the game entertaining.
The game is also very long, almost the length of two Yakuzas. This means that there are parts of the game where you will be completely sucked in and other parts where you may start to feel like you are falling asleep. The game has a lot of characters which can make the expository dialogue get out of hand at times. However, the game also has a lot of side quests which are known to be the best in video games.
In one of the side quests, you have to figure out which guy is peeing in the river. This is just one example of how the game can take you through so many different moods from being dramatic to sad to funny. The game also has an arcade where you can play the entire game of Virtual Fighter 5 and a Mario Kart mini game.
Overall, Yakuza Like a Dragon is a giant RPG that is a must-play for fans of RPG games. Even if you are not a fan of RPG games, Yakuza Like a Dragon is still very entertaining and engaging. The game’s ability to take you through different moods and its variety of characters and enemies make it a game that is worth playing.
