Are you an iPad user facing issues with your email not updating automatically? You are not alone. Many users have reported the same issue. But don’t worry, there are several solutions to this problem.
One of the easiest solutions is to enable and disable airplane mode. Turning on and off airplane mode will refresh your network connection. To do this, go to the settings app, turn on airplane mode, wait for 30 seconds, and then disable it. Now go to the mail app and check if you are receiving mails or not.
Secondly, you can check your mail settings. Launch the settings app, scroll down the screen to find the mail option, and tap it. Tap on accounts, then tap on fetch new data. Make sure that the push option is turned on. If it is already on, turn it off and then back on again. Then select the option “automatically.”
Another solution is to restart your iPad. To do this, go to the settings app, tap on general, then tap on shutdown at the bottom. Drag the slide to power off slider to turn off your iPad. Wait for a few seconds, and turn it back on.
You can also disable low power mode. Launch the settings app on your iPad, then tap on battery. If low power mode is on, turn it off. When it’s on, it reduces background activity like documents and mail fetch.
Make sure that cellular data is turned on for mail. To check this, go to the settings app, tap on cellular or mobile data, scroll down the screen to find mail. If it’s off, turn it on.
Resetting your network settings is another solution. This will reset your Wi-Fi networks and passwords, APN and VPN settings, and cellular settings. Once you complete the process, connect your iPad to Wi-Fi first. Go to the settings app, tap on general, then tap on transfer or reset iPad at the bottom. Now tap on reset, select reset network settings in the pop-up window, then enter the passcode of your iPad if prompted, and tap reset network settings to confirm the process.
You can also refresh your mail manually. Open the mail app, then drag down the screen for getting new mails. At the bottom of the screen, it shows updated just now.
Finally, you can remove and re-add your mail account. Go to the settings app, find and tap on mail, tap on accounts, tap on your mail account that is not updating your mails automatically, tap on delete account, then tap delete from my iPad. Once you have deleted it, restart your iPad and re-add your mail account.
We hope these solutions help you fix your email updating issue on your iPad.
