If you’ve been having trouble sharing or saving pictures because they’re in HEIC format, this post is for you. HEIC is a file format that is commonly used by iPhones, but if you have an Android device, you might find that your photos have been converted to HEIC format as well. This can make it difficult to share or view your pictures on other devices.
If you have a Samsung device, the solution to this problem is easy. Just open up your gallery and tap on the hamburger icon. From there, tap on settings and scroll down until you find the option to turn off HEIC format. This will convert your pictures to JPEG format, which is compatible with most devices.
If you don’t have a Samsung device, you’ll need to download an application to convert your photos from HEIC to JPEG format. You can do this by opening up the Play Store and searching for “HEIC to JPG converter.” There are many different applications available, but we won’t be promoting any third-party applications in this post. We’ll just use an application for educational purposes.
Once you’ve downloaded the application, open it up and select the folder where your HEIC pictures are located. Choose the pictures you want to convert and tap on “convert.” This process might take a little while, but once it’s finished, your pictures will be in JPEG format.
Now you can share or save your pictures without worrying about compatibility issues. If you share your pictures with friends, they will still be in JPEG format, and they won’t be converted to HEIC format on Android devices.
We hope you found this post helpful in converting your HEIC pictures to JPEG format. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them below.
