If you’re a Motorola user, you might have encountered some difficulties when trying to transfer photos from your phone to your Windows computer or laptop. However, worry no more, as we’ve got you covered with this easy-to-follow guide.
To start the process, you’ll need a cable that connects your Motorola phone to your computer. The type of cable you’ll need depends on your phone’s model. For instance, the phone used in this guide was a Moto G power, which requires a USB Type-C cable.
Once you have the cable, plug in the USB Type-A end into your laptop and the USB Type-C into your phone. If your computer doesn’t have a Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C port, you can use a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable instead.
After plugging in the cable, log in to your phone and click on “Enter.” Next, open your file explorer on your computer and look for your phone’s name. In this case, it was “Moto G Power.”
However, clicking on your phone’s name won’t show any photos or videos. This is because you need to go to your phone’s notifications and tap on “Android System Charging this device via USB.” Then, tap on the down arrow and select “File Transfer” to enable data transfer.
Now, go back to your computer’s file explorer and open your phone’s name again. This time, you’ll see the “Internal Storage” option. Double-click on it and go to the “DCIM” folder. From there, select “Camera,” and you’ll see your photos and videos.
You can save a single photo or video by dragging and dropping it to your desktop or create a new folder to save all the files at once. To do this, right-click on your desktop, select “New,” and click on “Folder.” Name the folder and drag all the photos and videos you want to save into it.
And that’s it! You’ve successfully transferred your photos and videos from your Motorola phone to your Windows computer or laptop. If you encounter any problems, feel free to leave a comment below.
