Opera Mini is an excellent web browser that is often underrated despite its impressive features. In this post, we’ll show you how to block pop-up ads in Opera Mini, making your browsing experience even better.
Before we get to that, we have a question for you: what’s the most commonly used email service that you use? Is it Gmail or Hotmail, or perhaps something else? Let us know in the comments section. For our part, we use an email service that was created in 2000/2001 and is still our main email account to this day. It’s called Net Zero, and for about six months to a year, they actually offered free internet services. Yes, you read that right – free internet! And it was dial-up, complete with the iconic dial-up noise. But we’ll leave that story there for now and get back to Opera Mini.
To block pop-up ads in Opera Mini, you need to click on the gear shift icon on the far left of the browser window. This is the settings button. Once you’ve clicked on it, you’ll see the option for “Privacy and Protection.” Click on that, and you’ll see the option to “Block Ads and Surf the Web up to Three Times Faster.” You can choose to allow accepted tabs, or you can select “No.” Additionally, you can click on “Block Trackers” to prevent websites from tracking your online activity. If you want to learn more about what trackers are and how they work, click on “Learn More.” Once you’ve made your selections, click “Back.”
If you need to make exceptions for certain sites, you can do so by clicking on “Exceptions” under the “Block Ads and Surf the Web up to Three Times Faster” option.
And that’s it! With these simple steps, you can block pop-up ads in Opera Mini and enjoy a more streamlined browsing experience.
