If you’re in a situation where you need to hide any opened or active window on your Windows computer, then you’re in the right place. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to do just that.
Firstly, let’s demonstrate what happens when you minimize an active window. It does get minimized, but it’s still visible in the taskbar. This is not the same as hiding the window.
To hide an active window, you’ll need to download a file that we have provided a link to in the video description. After downloading the zip file, extract it to get two files. One is the Windheit application, and the other is the configurations file.
To start the application, double-click on the Windheit application file. You will see a common-style window. To hide an active window, you need to press the designated hotkey combination. By default, it’s ctrl + shift + c.
Once you press the hotkeys, the active window will be hidden, and you won’t see it in the taskbar. To unhide the window, press ctrl + c + b. You can customize the hotkeys to your preference.
To customize the hotkeys, open the configurations file, and change the case to your desired hotkey combination. Save the configurations and close the file. Now, when you run the Windheit application, you can use your customized hotkeys to hide and unhide active windows.
This is a very useful application if you’re in a situation where you need to hide any active window. It’s simple to use and customizable to your preference. Try it out for yourself and see how it works.
