Are you looking for ways to make your Google Slides presentation more engaging and dynamic? One simple way to do this is by adding music to your slides. In this guide, we will show you how to add music to your Google Slides presentation and how to make that music play at different spots in the music so that when you go to a new slide, it doesn’t just start the music over.
To start, open your Google Slides presentation and go to the first slide where you want to add the music. Click on “Insert” and choose “Video” (even though we want sound, we’ll need to insert a video instead). Add the address of a YouTube video that has the instrumental music you want to use, and select it. Once the video is added, go to “Format options” and choose “Video playback.” Make sure to click on “Auto-play when presenting,” and have it start on the first slide at 0 so it starts at the very beginning.
Next, choose “Size and position,” and position the video where you want it to play. We recommend placing it in the top right-hand corner of each slide where it won’t be visible, but still easily accessible. Decrease the width and height of the video until it’s as small as possible, but still noticeable.
Now, go to the second slide where you want to add the same music again. Follow the same steps to insert the same video, make it small, and position it. However, this time, you will change the starting point of the music by going to “Video playback” and choosing “Starts at 0:35” (or any other time you desire) so that it starts playing 35 seconds into the song.
Once this is done, you’re ready to present your Google Slides with music! Click on “Present,” and the music should start playing automatically. When you go to the next slide, the music will play from the spot you selected, making each slide feel like it starts later in the song.
Adding music to your Google Slides presentation is an easy and effective way to make it more engaging and memorable. With these simple steps, you can elevate your presentation to the next level!
