Installing Windows 7 on your computer or laptop can be a daunting task, especially if you’re doing it for the first time. However, with the help of a bootable USB, the process becomes relatively simple. In this guide, we will take you through a step-by-step procedure of installing Windows 7 on your computer using a bootable USB.
Before we begin, ensure that you have a bootable Windows USB. You can either make one from your computer using a bootable disk of Windows 7 or purchase it from a software vendor in the market. Once you have the bootable USB, plug it into your computer’s USB port. Ensure that your computer’s boot sequence is set to boot from the USB after the plugging in. Restart your computer.
Once your computer has restarted and is booted from the USB, select the first option ‘Window Setup’ and press enter. Windows Setup files will start loading. Wait for a while until the setup is loaded. Select your language, click ‘Next’ and press ‘Install Now’. Agree with the terms and conditions, tick your check box, and press ‘Next’.
Since we are installing an entirely new operating system on the computer, we will choose the second custom option. Select the partition where you want to install your operating system. If your desired drive needs to be formatted, select your desired option and at the bottom of the options, select ‘Drive Options’ and click ‘Format’.
The setup will start formatting your drive. When the format is completed, you can check the total and available space. Once the format process is complete, press the ‘Next’ option. The installation process will begin, and this is a time-consuming procedure. We recommend fast-forwarding this part of the video.
After completing the first four steps, the setup will restart your computer. The setup will complete the rest of the installation process and restart your computer one more time. Enter your computer name and press ‘Next’. Select the third option, ‘Ask Me Later’. Select your country time zone. If the time and dates are correct, press ‘Next’.
The setup is preparing your desktop. Windows has started with basic and minimal settings. You can upgrade your settings, change the resolution, and change the icons, wallpaper, and themes of your desktop.
That’s it! By following these simple steps, you can install Windows 7 on your computer using a bootable USB. If you found this guide informative and educational, share it with your friends.
