Losing an S Pen can be frustrating, especially if you have to replace it. Unfortunately, not all Samsung or Android devices come with Bluetooth-enabled S Pens, which means that if you can’t find your S Pen by tracing your steps back, you will have to get a new one. However, if you own a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, there is hope to find your lost S Pen, thanks to the Bluetooth-enabled S Pen and a Pen Proximity feature that is pre-installed on your device.
Here is how the Pen Proximity feature works: Let’s say you took out your Note 20 Ultra S Pen because you wanted to take a note or perform some air actions on your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and while talking to your friends, instead of putting your Note 20 Ultra S Pen back into the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, you have set it aside. Once you lock your Note 20 Ultra and walk away, your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will automatically notify you by asking if your Note 20 Ultra S Pen is not inside your phone.
It’s a great feature that will not only notify you but also show you the last date and time when your Galaxy Note 20 Ultra S Pen has been detached, making it easier for you to remember where you have been at that exact moment.
Enabling S Pen Proximity feature is easy. All you have to do is slide down your notification bar on your Note 20 Ultra, go to Settings, Advanced Features, click on S Pen, slide down to the bottom of the page, and make sure that the Aspen Proximity Alert toggle is on.
One very important thing you need to remember is that the Aspen Proximity Alert will only work if you walk away from your S Pen and your Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra display is off.
