If you head to Paloma and Altadena, you’ll see where all of the band buses, marching bands, and cheerleaders gather to get ready. You’ll get to see a behind-the-scenes look at the parade while avoiding the crowds.
Once you’re there, you’ll need to decide where to stand or sit. It’s important to note that there aren’t a lot of bathroom facilities, so make sure to go before you arrive. Additionally, if you’re a man of a certain age, make sure to plan accordingly.
Another great tip is to go metro. Use the Gold Line and take it to the Del Mar Station. From there, you can walk two blocks north to the parade. You can also take the Memorial Park Station and walk two blocks south or the Lake Station and walk two blocks south. The Allen Station is also a great option, where you’ll need to walk four blocks south.
