How to Use Gestures in iPhone: A Comprehensive Guide

If you have recently purchased a new iPhone with an edge-to-edge display, you may need some assistance with the essential gestures. In this post, we will show you all the essential gestures that you must use on the newer iPhones.

First things first, let’s start with the swipe up gesture to unlock your phone. If your phone is locked, simply swipe up with your finger to unlock it. This gesture also works if you want to exit an application. Just swipe up again, and if you swipe up and hold in the middle, you will have access to all the applications that you currently have open. If you want to close any of these applications, simply swipe up again.

To access the notification center, swipe down from the middle of the display. If your iPhone is locked, you can swipe up with your finger to access the notification center.

Now, let’s move on to the control center. To access it, simply swipe down from the top right corner of the display. Here, you’ll have access to all the controls. If you want to add or remove any of these controls, go to Settings, Control Center, and press on the minus sign to remove or the plus sign to add a new control.

Finally, the last gesture is the one to search for specific apps. Simply swipe down and type the name of the app you want to open. This gesture is handy if you want to open a new application quickly.
