Have you ever experienced issues with your iPhone iMessages not working or syncing with your MacBook? If so, you’re not alone. Many Apple users struggle with this problem, but luckily there is a quick and simple fix for it.
Start on Your Phone
To begin with, start on your phone and make sure that you can turn off and on a setting. Go to Settings, then Messages, and turn off and on messages to reset the network setting. Wait for activation before moving on to the next step.
Send and Receive Messages
Next, ensure that you can send and receive messages by making sure that your phone number and email are both checked off in the “You can receive messages and replies to” section. Also check that at least one of the options for “Start new conversations” is checked off.
Finally, ensure that your Apple ID on your phone matches the one you’re using on your MacBook, and that at least one option is checked off. Once you’re done, exit out of the settings.
Move to Your MacBook
Now, it’s time to move to your MacBook. Open up the System Preferences on your Messages, and make sure that everything is enabled. Ensure that everything matches your phone, including your phone number, email, and Apple ID.
Once you’ve made sure that everything is the same, sign out to reset your settings. Resync it and you’ll be good to go. That’s it! You can now use your iPhone iMessages on your MacBook.
