Are you someone who has a lot of apps on your phone, but doesn’t use all of them on a daily basis? If so, your phone’s storage could be filling up with data from unused apps. Thankfully, there is a feature called “Offload Unused Apps” which can help you free up space on your device.
Enabling and disabling this feature is easy – you just need to know where to find it in your phone’s settings. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to use this feature:
1. Go to settings and select “General”.
2. From there, select “iPhone Storage”.
3. If you want the iPhone to automatically control the offloading of unused apps, hit “Enable”. However, it’s recommended to do this on a case-by-case basis, as automatic offloading can be inconvenient if you need to use an app and have no internet connection.
4. To offload a specific app, choose that app from the iPhone Storage menu.
5. Select “Offload App”. This will delete the app from your phone’s screen, but keep its data intact.
6. When you want to use the app again, simply tap its icon (which will have a cloud symbol next to it) and it will be reinstalled on your phone, with all of the data you previously had.
If you have already enabled automatic offloading and want to disable it, go to the “iTunes and App Store” section in your phone’s settings. Scroll down to “Offload Unused Apps” and toggle it off.
By using the offload unused apps feature, you can save space on your phone while still being able to keep your important data. So next time you’re looking to free up some storage, give it a try!
