Are you tired of hearing a sound notification every time you connect or disconnect a USB device from your Windows 10 computer? It can be annoying, especially if you frequently connect and disconnect devices. Fortunately, it’s easy to turn off these notifications.
To start, open your Sound Control Panel by clicking on the speaker icon located in the right section of your taskbar. If you can’t find the speaker icon, click on the upward arrow to reveal additional icons. Once you locate the speaker icon, right-click on it and click on “Sounds.”
Under the Sounds tab, scroll down to the “Program Events” section and find “Device Connect.” Click on it to select it, and then click on the drop-down menu under “Sounds.” At the top of the list, select “None,” and then click on the “Apply” button followed by the “OK” button.
You can also turn off the sound notification for device disconnect by following the same steps. In the Sound Control Panel, under “Program Events,” find “Device Disconnect.” Click on it to select it, and then click on the drop-down menu under “Sounds.” Select “None” and click on the “Apply” button followed by the “OK” button.
That’s it! You can now connect and disconnect USB devices from your Windows 10 computer without hearing any sound notifications.
