If you’re finding that you’re restricted or not allowed to do certain things on your iPhone, it’s probably because there are parental controls set up on your device. In this guide, we’ll show you how you can turn them off and remove them.
Firstly, you need to open the Settings app and scroll down to find the option for Screen Time. Alternatively, you can search for it. Then, tap on it and scroll down to Content and Privacy Restrictions. This is where you can change the settings.
To turn off parental controls, tap on the toggle, and if there’s a Screen Time passcode, you’ll need to enter it. If someone else set this up for you, like a parent, you’ll need to ask them for their passcode or ask them to enter it.
It’s important to note that the passcode for Screen Time is different from the passcode for your whole device. Once you’ve entered the code, the parental controls will be turned off completely. You can also turn them back on whenever you want.
If you don’t want to turn off all of the parental controls, you can change the restrictions for individual settings. For example, you can go into Content Restrictions and turn off web content to unrestricted from limit adult websites. You have the option to change them individually or turn them off altogether.
Not everyone will have a password on this. Some people will be able to toggle it on and off without a passcode. However, if there is a passcode, you’ll need to find out what it is or get the person who set it up to enter it.
