Fortnite has been adding more and more impressive features like the ability to have party chat and game chat. However, sometimes these added features add a little bit more complications, and you may not readily know how to switch the options or use the new features. In this tutorial, we will show you how to switch between party chat and game chat in Fortnite.
To switch from party chat to game chat, go ahead and press options, then go to the social window. Press Y or triangle on your controller and bring up the little side menu. Scroll down to party, and you can see it’s checkmarked. Just go ahead and checkmark game. On the left-hand side, you can see that we are switched from the party channel over to the game channel. Switching back to your party is very easy; just go ahead and go back to party and checkmark it.
Suppose every time you join up in a match, you want to talk to the people in the game lobby without having to switch it over manually. In the social menu, again go ahead and press the square button or the X button on your Xbox and bring up the audio menu. Scroll down to the voice chat section and right where it says voice chat filled match switch this over to game. Every time you’re in a party chat, it’ll switch over to game chat when you enter a match. Then hit the triangle or Y button to apply.
