How to Stream on iPad: Live Streaming on YouTube

If you want to share your iPad screen or record a live stream, this tutorial will help you out. There are two ways to go about it: live stream a video using the camera or live stream a screen recording.

Let’s start with screen recording live stream. To begin, you need to go to Settings and click on the Control Center section. Tap on Customize Controls and make sure the screen record icon is in the upper section. If not, click on the green plus icon next to it to move it up. When you add the screen recording icon, it shows up in the Control Center.

If you can’t find this option, update your iPad to the latest iPad OS version. To share your screen as a live video, download a free app from the App Store that enables this functionality. The app takes the screen recording and makes it appear on your YouTube channel, so you need it.

Open up the app, login with your YouTube account, and tap on Stream Your Games. You can enable camera and microphone access if you want. Tap on the menu in the upper left corner, and you will see the option which says screen capture. Tap on it and go through the process to set everything up. Choose the platform, which is YouTube, and tap on Create Event. Create a title and type it in.

Depending on your situation, you will either be allowed or not. Google has conditions you need to meet, such as having at least 1,000 subscribers to go live on a mobile device. iPads are considered a mobile device, so it applies to them as well. However, you can go live using just a computer, even without 1,000 subscribers beforehand.

Assuming you meet the criteria, the app will start broadcasting to YouTube. At this point, leave the app and swipe down to get to the Control Center. Hold down the icon for the screen recording, and there will be a couple of options. Tap onto the Streamlabs app we downloaded. You can enable or disable external sound by tapping on the button underneath the toggle.

For regular live streams, make sure you have the YouTube app downloaded, and you’re logged in. Click on the plus icon in the bottom portion, then click on Go Live. If you meet the conditions, which include 1,000 subscribers, you can start broadcasting.

In conclusion, if you cannot go live due to Google’s requirements, there’s nothing you can do about it. However, if you have 1,000 subscribers, you can follow this tutorial to start live streaming on your iPad. Thanks for reading and good luck!
