One of the joys of capturing photos and videos on your iPhone is being able to share them with your loved ones. And what better way to do that than by creating a shared album in Photos? This feature allows you and your favorite people to view and add photos and videos all in one spot. In this post, we’ll guide you on how to create a shared album on your iPhone.

To get started, open the Albums tab in Photos and tap the add button in the upper left corner. Then, tap “New Shared Album” and type in a name for the album. You can invite up to 100 people to a shared album by entering the name, phone number, or email associated with the Apple ID of anyone you want to share it with. Once you’re ready, tap “Create” and the new shared album will appear in your Albums tab.

To add photos and videos to your shared album, tap the album and then tap the add button. Select the photos and videos that you want to share, and tap “Add” in the upper right corner. You can also include a comment for others to read before posting the content to the shared album.

Shared albums use the iCloud storage of the person who created it, so make sure you have enough storage. When someone receives an invitation to a shared album, they’ll get a notification. They can also go to the For You tab in Photos and tap “Accept” on the invitation. By default, everyone signed into iCloud that subscribes to the shared album can contribute more photos and videos, and add comments and likes.

To manage the subscribers to your shared album, tap the “Manage Subscribers” button in the upper right corner. If you’re the Creator, you can invite more people, manage who can add photos and videos, and create a public website link which can be opened in a web browser so all your friends and family can view it, even if they don’t use iCloud.

With notifications turned on, you’ll be notified whenever someone likes, comments, or adds photos or videos to your shared album. You can also delete the album, which automatically removes it from all devices, including your subscribers. However, permanently deleting a shared album deletes all of its photos and videos, so make sure you save anything you want to keep.

Now that you know how to create a shared album in Photos, you can invite your favorite people and share your best moments together. No need to subscribe to any YouTube channel – just follow these simple steps and start sharing!
