How to Set Up Uppon WiFi Extender

Are you struggling to set up your Uppon WiFi extender? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. In this post, we’ll guide you through the setup process step by step.

Firstly, plug in your Uppon extender near your router, and wait for the power LED to stabilize. Next, on your phone or computer, go to the WiFi list and look for Wireless N or Uppon network name in the WiFi list. Connect to this network, and a setup window will pop up automatically. If it doesn’t, open a browser on the same device and type in 192.168.188.1 or 192.168.10.1 in the URL to access the setup page. Follow the on-screen instructions, and choose the network name you want to extend. Save the settings and you will see the newly set up extender network name in your WiFi list.

By default, the extended network name will appear as your home network name followed by “_EXT” which signifies the extended network. The password will be the same as your router’s WiFi password.

Alternatively, you can set up your Uppon WiFi extender via WPS. To do this, ensure that both your router and extender are plugged in the same room. Press the WPS button on your router first, then within two minutes press the WPS button on your Uppon WiFi extender. The solid internet LED or WiFi LED on the extender will confirm a successful WPS connection, and you will find the extended network name in your WiFi list.
