How to Set Up a Chromecast Photo Slideshow with Google Home App

Many people like to use their TV as a display for photos, especially during events or parties. If you’re one of those people, you’re in luck. With a Google Chromecast Ultra and your Google Home app on your smartphone, you can easily create a photo slideshow on your TV. Here’s how to do it.

First, open the Google Home app and navigate to Google Maps. You’ll see your devices broken up by rooms. Select the room where you want to control the photos on the TV. For example, if you want to control the living room TV, click on “Living Room.”

Next, you’ll see the “Ambient” option. Click on the top right corner to access “Ambient Mode Settings.” Here, you can change the settings to your preferred options. You can choose to use Google Photos to display photos on your TV, show device information, change the slideshow speed, and more.

To display photos from a specific album, select “Google Photos” and choose the albums you want to show. You can add multiple albums to the slideshow. Once you’ve selected your albums, you can set the slideshow speed to your preference (five or ten seconds).

Your TV will now show a slideshow of the selected photos from your Google Photos albums. You can control any TV or device inside your home that has a Google Chromecast Ultra or Google Chromecast.

This feature is versatile and can be used in many different settings, whether it’s at home or an event. You can even invite people to contribute photos to a shared Google Photos album and display them on a projector or display screen.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Setting up a Chromecast photo slideshow with the Google Home app is easy, and it’s a great way to showcase your favorite memories.
